Home Depot Grand Opening Features 'Neighborhood Night' In Stamford

The only new Home Depot opening this year happens to be  on West Main Street in Stamford.

The new store kicked off its grand opening celebration on Wednesday night, April 25 when Stamford Mayor David Martin led a  "board-cutting ceremony." 

The event also included tours of the 140,000-square-foot store, a Kids Workshop and free food and refreshments. 

On Thursday, April 26, Home Depot planned to offer vendor demonstrations, giveaways and free lunch for customers.

The store -- located at 1925 W. Main St. -- employs about 270 Home Depot associates.
